"On a Moonless Night" aims to confront the fertile symbols of the original waters with the muted violence that brews within it. Vanishing elements, traces of evaporations, signs of disappearances: each scene invites us to feel the silent pulses of lives, emerging and passing, to witness their transformations. The images stemmed from an intensive period of iconographic research on the representation of the living worlds. Melding personal photography and digital collages through ai, the images infuse surrealism in a scientific and museographic imagery. By blending minerals, flora and fauna, the borders between all beings are blurred, conveying a sense of kinship, interconnectedness and drawing a possibility for second lives.
